Yikes! You’re going through the turnover process when you notice some damage left behind from the previous tenant. Maybe it’s a few scratched cabinets, streaks on the hardwood floor, or a countertop that was clearly used as a cutting board. Whatever it is, your mind is probably flooding with questions like how long it will take to repair and how much it will cost. We know that keeping your units filled and your business running smoothly are your top priorities. Here’s how we work with you to make sure the turnover process is seamless from one tenant to the next.

1. Inspecting the damage: this one might seem like a no-brainer, but the first thing we do is inspect the damage and make sure it meets our requirements. For most jobs, we ask that the damage not exceed the size of a dinner plate. However, there are some instances in which we can repair larger problems. Click on our “services” tab and then on “floors” to learn more.

2. Matching Colors On-site: Our team of experts can easily match colors on-site and ensure a seamless and unnoticeable repair for damage like gauges or cuts on your flooring. We also don’t use patches for sheet vinyl, which means you get a cleaner finish! We’re proud to put in the extra work to fix the damage and ensure our repair is not noticeable to the tenant.

3. A Quick Repair: This is where we save you the most time and money. Once we’ve inspected the damage on your cabinets, countertops, flooring, or other hard surfaces, we’ll immediately get to work on fixing them. From start to finish, you can expect us to be in your unit for as little as one hour—not days. You’ll have a chance to see the repair before we leave and then you’ll be free to go on with the rest of your day. It’s as easy as that.

4. Going Green: Now that you’ve had your unit repaired by Surface Experts, you can take pride in knowing that you’ve helped out the planet in a big way. Over 50 tons of waste are created each year from remodeling and construction in the US. It’s an unfortunate statistic, and a portion of that waste comes from surfaces that have been damaged, removed, and replaced with something new. Since our team works on repairing the surfaces you have already installed, nothing ends up in a landfill. You’re not only saving time and money, but you’re giving back to the planet!
We know seeing damage can leave you feeling stressed. Let Surface Experts help you get your unit back on the market faster! Give us a call today at 800.614.9778 and let us know how we can help. We look forward to hearing from you!
